We are concerned about the recent attacks against diplomatic and consular missions of Saudi Arabia in Iran.

Premises of diplomatic and consular missions are entitled to full inviolability and protection under the Vienna Conventions on Diplomatic and Consular Relations and the Receiving State is obliged to ensure the security of these missions. In this regard, such attacks against diplomatic missions of Saudi Arabia in Tehran and Mashhad are unacceptable.

Turkey wishes the tensions between the two countries not to give rise to negative repercussions on regional security, stability and peace, the language of threat be relinquished by returning to diplomatic language and calls for restraint.
